TL;DR
We're proud to announce that CreateFuture has been awarded AWS Migration and Modernisation Competency status, recognising our proven ability to plan and safely deliver large-scale migrations to AWS, from full data centre exits to the re-platforming of complex legacy estates.
AWS Competencies aren't handed out lightly. To achieve this status, partners must demonstrate deep technical expertise and, crucially, evidence of successful customer delivery, validated directly by AWS. It's independent confirmation of something our clients already know: CreateFuture can run AWS migrations end-to-end. We don't just build cloud native from scratch. We take the systems businesses actually run on today, however old or entangled, and move them safely, quickly and with confidence.
What this means for our clients
Beyond the technical endorsement, this competency carries real commercial weight. It enables our clients to access AWS funding to support the migration of eligible workloads, subject to qualifying criteria. In practice, that makes migration programmes with CreateFuture meaningfully more cost-effective, reducing the upfront investment barrier that so often stalls cloud strategies before they start.
If a data centre exit, an expiring hosting contract or spiralling licence costs are forcing your hand, we can now help you build a business case that's stronger on both the delivery side and the funding side.
"This competency is the result of years of hard graft from our engineering teams and the trust our clients place in us with their most critical systems. It tells the market two things. First, that AWS has independently validated our ability to deliver complex migrations at scale. Second, and just as importantly, it unlocks AWS funding for our clients, so the path to the cloud gets cheaper as well as safer. For organisations staring down a data centre exit or a painful licence renewal, that combination changes the conversation entirely."
Micky Sagoo, Head of Partnerships at CreateFuture.
Proven in the real world
This status is built on real delivery, not promises. Here are a few recent examples of the work behind it:
- StepChange: Facing a data centre exit and rising VMware licence costs, StepChange needed a safe, rapid route to AWS. We migrated more than 200 Windows Servers from VMware to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service, giving the charity a modern, flexible platform without disruption to the vital debt advice services people depend on.
- MONY Group: We migrated dozens of Azure-hosted applications to AWS for MONY Group, designing and implementing the networking routes back to on-premises infrastructure and Azure so that key databases remained fully connected throughout. It's a great example of the pragmatic, multi-cloud reality most enterprises actually live in.
- FanDuel: We modernised FanDuel's application configuration management, moving it from a single centralised system to one where individual teams manage their own settings. The change freed developers to move faster, with more ownership over the systems they build and run.
Ready to make your move?
Whether you're planning a data centre exit, weighing up a licence renewal you'd rather not sign, or looking to modernise what you've already got in the cloud, we'd love to talk. With AWS Migration and Modernisation Competency status and access to AWS migration funding, there's never been a better time to build the case.
